Idrissa Gana Gueye emerges as shock target for Arsenal and Man City | OneFootball

Every year the transfer window throws up some surprises and 2019 is no different.

Idrissa Gana Gueye appeared set for PSG after being left out of Everton’s 18-man squad for their Premier League trip to Huddersfield.

However, just as the Toffees kicked off in Yorkshire, Sky Sports News reported that Arsenal and Man City have joined the chase for the Senegal international.

PSG are keen to bolster their midfield ranks and have been linked with the 29-year-old all month though now seemingly face serious competition at the final stretch.

While not direct rivals with City and Arsenal in the Premier League, it remains to be seen whether Everton would be prepared to sell to another English side when they harbour their own future top six ambitions.

As well as targeting Gueye, Arsenal have also been linked with a move for Youri Tielemans of Monaco who is also wanted by Newcastle, West Ham and Leicester.
