Gennaro Gattuso has seemingly been on the hot seat all season but, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, he may have a future at the club after all.
The report says that the 41-year-old can retain his place on the Milan sideline should Milan clinch a Champions League place by finishing in the top four.
Milan are currently on 62 points, level with Roma but three points behind fourth-placed Atalanta, with two games to play.
In the event that both Atalanta and Milan finish level, the Rossoneri own the head-to-head tiebreaker, having defeated Atalanta 3-1 in February after drawing 2-2 back in September.
Milan also own the head-to-head tiebreaker with Roma, having won 2-1 in August before drawing 1-1 in February.
In the event of a three-way tie for fourth, Milan would go through having the best head-to-head goal difference.
Milan will finish the season against Frosinone and SPAL, Atalanta face Juventus and Sassuolo, while Roma take on Sassuolo and Parma.
