But in the event that Atlético slip up, Barcelona could be crowned kings before they kick a ball again.

Barcelona will be champions for the 26th time. Their head-to-head record means they could not be caught.

If Atlético Madrid draw both their games …

A draw at the Mestalla would keep Atlético clinging on but if they repeat that result against Valladolid, the race will be over.

If Atlético beat Valencia but lose on Saturday…

They would be nine points behind with only three games left to play, meaning the title would remain at the Camp Nou.
