Henrikh Mkhitaryan believes the ‘culture’ at Arsenal has changed since Unai Emery replaced Arsène Wenger this summer.
The end of Wenger’s 22-year tenure was filled with disapproval from sections of the Gunners fanbase as Arsenal stuttered and failed to reach the top four.
However, the arrival of Emery appears to have breathed new life into a club currently unbeaten in fifteen matches.
Arsenal will be looking to extend the record to 16 matches when they host Wolves on Sunday and Mkhitaryan believes Emery’s style and results has the fans believing again, with the atmosphere around the club now much more positive.
“It is not that a big thing has changed, it is only the fact of the manager,” Mkhitaryan told the Telegraph of the the difference between this and last season.
“But as well the culture changed a bit in the club and as well outside the club. Now people are believing more in ourselves because we are playing a bit differently, we are giving them confidence and playing the way they want us to play.
“We are scoring goals, winning games and it is the best feeling for the supporters.”
Arsenal are currently fifth in the Premier League table, though only six points off leaders Manchester City.
