Bayern Munich could lose coach Hansi Flick to another club if they don’t offer him a contract soon.

That’s according to Sport Bild, who report on Wednesday that Flick feels undervalued by Bayern and is growing impatient over the lack of action in terms of his future.

But while the club’s board reportedly plan to hold contract talks with some of their players following their Champions League tie with Chelsea in March, president Herbert Hainer doesn’t plan on making a decision about Flick’s future until May.

The club’s directors will undoubtedly have been impressed by what they’ve seen from the coach so far but it seems they are perhaps holding out on making a decision in case a more high-profile name becomes available.

But their dithering could be costly, as Sport Bild claim a number of other clubs have already expressed an interest in hiring Flick if Bayern don’t want him.

And whatever happens, Flick reportedly has no intention of returning to his old job as assistant coach.

He wants to be a head coach and if Bayern won’t offer him that, he will leave the club and go elsewhere.
