On Wednesday, according to Italian journalist Gianluca Dimarzio, Bologna made an offer of €5m (R$22.2m) for Corinthians striker Gustagol, which was swiftly rejected.
Now, another club has entered the race to sign the talented 25-year-old.
According to several reports out of both Brazil and Germany, Eintracht Frankfurt are heavily interested in Gustagol and may be willing to meet the €8m (R$35.5m) price tag Corinthians has set.
Furthermore, it’s now being reported that Gustagol has advised his agents and the club that he wants a move to Europe as soon as possible since he no longer believes he’s in Fabio Carille’s plans.
Gustagol has scored 10 goals in 30 matches this season but has hardly been used in recent months due to injury.
It’s also worth noting that Corinthians only hold 45 per cent of the economic rights to the player.
