Gustagol available for Corinthians clash with Athletico-PR | OneFootball

Corinthians have been boosted by the return to fitness of Gustagol for Sunday’s clash with Athletico Paranaense.

The striker has missed the last six games through injury and his side have taken just four points from their last five fixtures, and failed to score in either of their last two.

For that reason, the trip to Arena da Baixada is going to be absolutely crucial if Timão are to keep pace with the clubs at the top of the table.

Athletico, on the other hand, are likely to have one eye on on their upcoming Recopa Sudamericana clash with River Plate and Tiago Nunes is expected to field a slightly weakened team.

Corinthians will therefore go in search of their first victory since they beat Chapecoense on 1 May and Fábio Carille will likely pick his strongest available side.

They will be hoping their current top scorer Gustagol can help them out with some more goals, but they are expected to be without Clayson.
