United States manager Gregg Berhalter admits he is looking forward to an “intense” encounter with Chile on Tuesday.
The Stars and Stripes are coming off a 1-0 win against Ecuador, but will be without a number of key players for this encounter.
Berhalter has hinted at rotating and called on his players to embrace the battle against a very good side.
“This is going to be a great challenge for this group,” he told reporters.
“I’m really excited about the game because I think it gives us the opportunity to play through some intense pressure.
“It will be a difficult 90 minutes. We are going to see high pressing and a lot of physicality and a lot of duels.
“But ultimately our goal is to give Chile a good game and test ourselves against this opposition.”
