At 26 years old, Granit Xhaka has already earned 72 caps for the Switzerland national team and has become a regular in Unai Emery’s squad.
On Friday, Xhaka revealed he’s ready to take the ‘next step’ in his career, whether that’s at Arsenal or elsewhere.
“I’m very ambitious, I want to take the next step, Arsenal does not have to be the last stop,” he told German outlet Tagblatt.
It’s no doubt that whether or not Arsenal qualify for next year’s Champions League will be a huge factor in whether or not the midfielder stays at the Emirates.
Xhaka arrived at the club in July 2016 from Borussia Mönchengladbach for a fee of around €45m.
