Real Betis playmaker Giovani Lo Celso would prefer to join Tottenham over Manchester United this summer, according to Sky Sports.
Lo Celso has a release clause of €100m and Mirror Football recently reported that Spurs have had a €60m bid rejected by Betis.
Spanish outlet Marca then claimed that Manchester United are also interested in signing the 23-year-old.
But Sky Sports say the Argentine would prefer a move to Spurs because he is keen to link up with his compatriot Mauricio Pochettino.
The north London club reportedly remain in talks with Betis and are hopeful of completing a deal which would surpass the club record £42m spent on Davinson Sánchez.
Lo Celso joined Betis on an initial season long loan from Paris Saint-Germain before the LaLiga club exercised their option to buy him permanently in April 2019.
PSG will receive 20% of any sell-on fee, which is perhaps one of the many reasons why Betis appear keen to drive a hard bargain.
