After many months of negotiations, América finally signed Giovani dos Santos after Los Angeles Galaxy decided to buy out his contract earlier in the year.
However, the Mexico international hasn’t seen much action, just 122 minutes, due to injury and lack of match fitness.
In an interview with Radio W Deportes, dos Santos revealed that América was not the only Mexican team interested in acquiring his services.
“Yes Chivas got a hold of me this summer. But I always said, since I was in Europe, that my dream was to play for América.
In three Liga MX appearances so far this season, dos Santos has registered a goal and an assist – both of which came off the bench in a 3-1 win over Xolos.
