Steven Gerrard has admitted that Liverpool loanee Ovie Ejaria is “slightly unsettled” at Rangers and could return to his parent club in January.
The 21-year-old joined the Scottish Premier League side on a season-long deal over the summer, and has been almost ever-present for the Glasgow outfit this term.
Ejaria however missed their crucial Europa League game with Rapid Vienna on Thursday, and Gerrard has confirmed it was for personal reasons.
“I had a chat with him a couple of days ago and he’s slightly unsettled,” the manager told reporters.
“The next time I see Ovie is on Friday and we’ll have a conversation then and see where we go from there. Liverpool are aware of the situation and we’re in dialogue with them.”
