Hamburger SV wonderkid Jann-Fiete Arp has already attracted interest from Bayern Munich and Chelsea at the age of 17.

Arp has recently broken into Hamburg’s first team, scoring twice and starting three Bundesliga games in a row … but he still needs permission to play in evening matches.

Thanks to German laws, workers under the age of 18 aren’t allowed to partake in labour after 8pm. Bundesliga’s evening kick-offs start at 8:30pm.

That’s a bit of an issue for Hamburg, who play against Freiburg in this week’s Friday evening match.

It’s lucky, then, that Arp has been granted permission to feature this week and against Borussia Mönchengladbach on 15th December.

Exceptions are made for those involved in performing, such as musical or theatre, and Arp has been given special dispensation on those grounds.
