Over the weekend, Gerard Piqué publicly slammed the Barcelona board for their gruelling pre-season the 32-year-old believes left the club ill-prepared for the 2019-20 campaign.
Barcelona started their LaLiga campaign taking just one point from their first three matches on the road, finally picking up their first victory away from home on Saturday at Getafe.
Now, Piqué will reportedly meet with Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu to discuss the matter at hand.
“The preseason did not help,” Piqué said over the weekend. “I believe that this is the year in which we have had the most trips and the least training sessions. And we notice it.
“We have to be together, the supporters and the board. When a person does not want to get angry, there are no conflicts.
“We know the club, we know the papers that are connected to the club, we know who writes the articles, even if they are signed by another person.”
Piqué has been with Barcelona since 2008 and has won 28 trophies with the club.
