Gerard Piqué is reportedly close to finalising the purchase of Spanish regional side FC Andorra.
Piqué – through his company Kosmos – will take advantage of a new sporting law to take control of the club.
The 31-year-old already denied in November that he was going to purchase LaLiga 123 club Reus following intense media speculation.
“We are working on two projects,” he told L’Equipe. “One is to buy a team, but I’m sorry, I cannot say more.
“The other is to create a new football competition or use an existing competition. Very beautiful projects.”
FC Andorra currently compete in the fifth level of Spanish football but played in the third tier between 1980 and 1998.
