AC Milan’s faltering form could see coach Gennaro Gattuso pay the price with his job.
The Rossoneri are locked in a fraught four-way race for the final Champions League spot with Atalanta, Roma and Torino.
At such a key stage of the campaign, their form has nosedived and they have won just one of their last six games.
Tuttosport report that his fate is now directly tied to how the side fare in their next two games.
First up is the second leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final clash with Lazio, followed by a mammoth meeting away to Torino.
In the event that the required results are not achieved, it will likely spell the end of Gattuso’s time in charge.
Among the names mooted as replacements are Antonio Conte (also wanted by Inter and Roma), Rudi Garcia and Maurizio Sarri.
La Gazzetta dello Sport also claim that a meeting took place two weeks ago between Gattuso and Jorge Mendes.
They claim that their ties could open the doors to a Premier League move for the former Palermo boss, with Newcastle United a possibility.
