Gareth Bale’s agent has insisted that rumours the Welshman will join Bayern Munich on a season-long loan are “rubbish”.

Bale is essentially being forced out of Real Madrid this summer after another season of persistent injury issues and wavering form.

Eden Hazard’s arrival is the sign that the former Tottenham man is no longer needed at Santiago Bernabéu but Bale himself has remained firm in his belief that he is not going anywhere.

Bale would like to stay in Madrid even if that means not playing and picking up his enormous wages but still reports persist that other clubs are looking to make a move for the 29-year-old.

The latest of those was on Sunday with a story in the British press claiming that Bayern wanted to sign Bale on a 12-month deal.

His agent Jonathan Barnett though, has labelled those as “rubbish” to ESPN.
