Frankie Amaya admits he is ready to give professional football his all after being picked by FC Cincinatti.
Amaya has enjoyed a rapid rise, from playing in the Concacaf Under-20 Championship to being the first player taken in the MLS super draft.
However, despite his excitement, the 19-year-old understands that the real hard work begins now.
“It was the longest four minutes of my life,” he told Goal. “I’m not going to lie, I didn’t see this coming.
“I worked hard my whole life. I knew something would happen, but I didn’t know all this would happen so fast.
“It’s all hard work, and now I just want to start playing. Being a pro is something I’ve always dreamed about and I’m ready to give it my all.”
