Chelsea will reportedly announce the appointment of Frank Lampard as their new coach this week.
The Derby County boss has been enjoying some down-time with family and friends in Saint-Tropez of late.
But Standard Sport report that sources close to Lampard have indicated that he will be confirmed as Chelsea boss this week upon his return.
They claim that the Blues legends has held several talks with his former club about taking over from Maurizio Sarri.
Lampard still has two years left to run on his deal at Pride Park and Derby are adamant that they have not been approached by Chelsea.
The Londoners would owe over £4m in any package for the former West Ham midfielder, who would likely bring Jody Morris and Chris Jones with him.
That said, Chelsea expect to tie up a deal soon, with some suggestions that Lampard will be unveiled on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Lampard has long been the first choice of the Chelsea hierarchy to replace Sarri after he left earlier this month to take over at Juventus.
