Frank Lampard would reportedly be willing to take over at Chelsea despite their impending transfer ban.

Lampard – who is currently managing Championship side Derby – has been linked with a return to Stamford Bridge if Maurizio Sarri leaves at the end of the season.

In February, FIFA handed the club a two-window transfer ban after they were found guilty for breaching rules over signing minors.

However, according to ESPNFC, the 40-year-old would relish making Chelsea competitive again with academy players and those already at his disposal.

Sarri still has two years left on his deal in West London but could return to Italy depending on Champions League qualification.
