Frank Lampard 'agrees three-year contract' to manage Chelsea | OneFootball

After being given the first few days off from Derby pre-season training, Frank Lampard is set to be announced as the next Chelsea manager within 48 hours.

According to multiple reports out of England, Frank Lampard and Chelsea have agreed on a three-year deal which will pay him £4m annually plus performance bonuses, including Champions League qualification, that could see that figure rise to £5m.

Chelsea will also pay Derby £4m to buy out the final two years of Lampard’s contract.

Lampard is also set to bring Derby assistant and former Chelsea midfielder Jody Morris along with him, as well as Derby first-team coach Chris Jones, who spent 12 years on Chelsea’s backroom staff.

It’s believed that an additional six-to-eight members of Lampard’s backroom staff at Derby have held talks at Stamford Bridge, including Head of Performance Analysis Steve Rands.

In 13 years at Chelsea, Lampard won three Premier League titles, the Champions League, four FA Cups, two League Cups, and the Europa League.
