Franck Ribéry has insisted that he remains “hungry” to play at the top level of European football after leaving Bayern Munich.
Ribéry departed the Allianz Arena at the end of the season after a decade of service and is currently a free agent on the hunt for his next club.
A potential move to MLS or the Middle East has been mooted but the French winger has claimed that he doesn’t want the easy life just yet.
“I want to play two more seasons,” he told L’Equipe.
“Money, I’ll get it everywhere. But there is also the challenge. I am faced with an important decision.
“I’m still hungry. I can still play in a big club. I have this experience that often makes the difference. At 36, if I still score goals like that, it’s not a coincidence.”
Marseille and Galatasaray are the two sides in Europe who are thought to be most keen on his signature, while, quite ridiculously, Sheffield United have also been mentioned.
