Franck Ribéry has officially been banned for three matches after pushing an assistant referee following Fiorentina’s 2-1 defeat to Lazio on Sunday.
The 36-year-old had an altercation with match official Matteo Passeri as he remonstrated with officials after the final whistle.
Serie A have declared that his “threatening attitude, grossly disrespectful conduct and disrespectful words” were deemed worthy of punishment.
Ribéry has also been fined €20,000.
