Former Wolves winger Matt Jarvis is extremely impressed with the efforts of 20-year-old Pedro Neto and has tipped the Portuguese for greatness.

The former Lazio and Braga man has been finding his form since the turn of the year and came up with Wolverhampton’s lone goal in their 1-1 Europa League round-of-16 draw with Olympiacos.

“I’ve seen him come on in a few games in the early part of the season. You can see what he’s all about,” Jarvis told The Athletic podcast The Molineux View.

“You can see he’s got incredible pace and a brilliant turn of pace being able to change direction and manipulate the ball really well.

“He’s started a few, and he’s starting to show exactly what he can do.

“In a few games he’s picked the ball up, he’s nipped past a few players and he’s got his team all the way up the other end of the pitch, and he’s scored a few goals.

“I think he’s got massive potential. He’s only very young still, so he’s got a lot of time to improve.”

In his 35 appearances (15 starts) for Wolves this season, the Portugal youth international has bagged four goals and added a further four assists.
