Football League clubs have decided next summerâs transfer window will close on 9th August.
The agreement follows on from the Premier League, who will also close the window on the same date at 17:00 BST.
Seasons in the Championship, League One, and League Two are set to begin on 4th August 2018.
âAfter discussing the options throughout the course of the last few months, Iâm pleased that the matter has been determined by clubs ahead of the start of next season,â said EFL chief executive Shaun Harvey.
âThis new approach will give clubs and managers the stability they crave earlier in the season whilst also providing the flexibility to add to their squads after the traditional deadline until the end of month if required.â
Loan deals will still be allowed for the 72 teams in the Football League until the end of August.
