In one of the worst matches the Brasileirão has had to offer this year, the teams struggled to make anything happen and were only able to put a handful of shots on goal.

Everaldo came the closest for Fluminense with a hard shot in the 18th minute, but the ball did not threaten the Ceará goal.

Juninho nearly won the match for Ceará on a pair of occasions. In the 21st minute, his dangerous free-kick should have been turned in, but landed in the hands of Júlio César.

Toward the end of the match, Juninho charged up the middle, only for Júlio César to slide in and make the save of the match.

Fluminense will end the season with away trips to Bahia, Internacional, and a home finale against América-MG after their Copa Sudamericana semi-final second leg v Atlético-PR.

Ceará will host relegated Paraná before traveling to Atlético-PR and finishing the season at home against Vasco.
