Flamengo rule out move for Independiente right-back Fabricio Bustos | OneFootball

During the program “90 minutos Fox” in Argentina, a report claimed Flamengo have already agreed personal terms with Independiente right-back Fabricio Bustos, with Flamengo only needing to agree to a fee with the Argentine club.

The 23-year-old is one of the more exciting younger talents in Argentina right now, already having earned four caps for his home country and constantly linked with moves abroad in Europe.

Though many Flamengo supporters were excited by this potential development, Flamengo have revealed that there is currently no interest or negotiation for the player.

Prior to the Covid-19 outbreak that postponed all fixtures for the foreseeable future, Flamengo were set on bringing in another right-back with both Rafinha and João Lucas not 100 per cent after recent injuries.

However, with the unexpected break, it’s now expected that Flamengo will wait until this summer in order to bring in a deputy for Rafinha at a much lower price.
