Flamengo was the protagonist of Saturday’s market movements. The rubro-negro team increased their offer for Atlético Paranaense forward Pablo significantly in hopes of wrapping up his addition sooner rather than later.

The club took one step forward on Pablo but stepped away from negotiating with former Corinthians midfielder Rodriguinho. The player’s representatives could not reach a financial agreement suitable for his arrival.

Corinthans also had a productive Saturday. The Timão have added midfielder Junior Sornoza from Fluminense but are holding off on making the public announcement until after the paperwork is cleared.

The Alvinegro also allowed midfielder Marquinhos Gabriel the ability to negotiate with Grêmio though the player is currently on-loan at Al Nasr.

Palmeiras similarly appear to have wrapped up a signing but have not yet announced it. The recent champions have reached an agreement with forward Carlos Eduardo, who joined Egyptian-side Pyramids F.C. from Goiás for €6 million in June.

Santos and São Paulo are mulling over swapping Victor Ferraz for Santiago Tréllez but the Peixe may be dragging their heels. Cruzeiro is interested in signing Diego Pituca from Santos.
