Flamengo boss Dorival Júnior has blasted his side after their 2-1 defeat to Botafogo on Saturday.
The Maracanã side conceded two early goals to the 10th placed side, and despite a second half strike from Victor couldn’t claw their way back into the game.
That defeat meant they stayed in third place and lost ground on leaders Palmeiras at the top of the table.
Something the coach was absolutely furious about after the final whistle.
“I have no doubt that it was our worst game,” he told reporters.
“It’s far below what we imagined. Difficult to explain.
“Our work in the week was good. The team has been training well but then today was completely different right from the first whistle.
“It was very strange. This is disastrous for our season.”
