Flamengo’s Lucas Paquetá has touched down in Italy and is ready to begin his new adventure with AC Milan.

Milan bought Lucas Paquetá from the Brazilian giants for €35m and the 21-year-old will be eligible to play beginning in the new year.

However, according to Calciomercato, Paquetá wasn’t the only player from Flamengo that Milan could have acquired.

Flamengo management also tried to sell 18-year-old striker Lincoln to the Italian giants, though Milan’s Brazilian sporting director Leonardo has claimed that Milan won’t purchase any more players from South America in the near future.

Leonardo’s decision was based on the fact that he feels both players are pure talents and that signing even one of them is a huge risk.

Flamengo asked €50m for Lincoln, which is the same amount as his release clause, however, an extra €50m is believed to also be a Financial Fair Play burden.

Barcelona are said to be interested in purchasing Lincoln, though their level of interest is unclear.
