With Real Madrid splashing the cash, Barcelona need to keep up with their LaLiga rivals.
Hundreds of players get linked every summer but only a few will arrive.
Here are five signings that Barça should make this summer.
This transfer makes perfect sense.
Brought through at Ajax, already experienced at the highest level and provides natural leadership.
Matthijs de Ligt could be at Barcelona for 10 plus years and learning from Gerard Piqué would be incredible. But will the deal fall through?
On again, off again. The story of Antoine Griezmann. Last summer he looked nailed on to join Barça, only to extend with Atlético.
But now he’s officially leaving.
Stylistically he suits the side but the dressing room reportedly have doubts. His release clause is too good to ignore.
Jordi Alba won’t be around forever and Junior Firpo has proven his credentials at Real Betis.
The 22-year-old will command a hefty fee but he possesses the core attributes to be moulded into an all-action full back.
There haven’t been any official links but Barça are missing an exciting Spanish talent and Mikel Oyarzabal fits the bill.
A classy playmaker with an eye for goal, that can play out wide or in midfield? Get him in.
Another striking option who could provide something different.
Maxi Gómez has gone under the radar but his numbers (31 goals in 75 appearances) for Celta Vigo are impressive. They’ll have to act quickly though!
