After just one season, Maurizio Sarri has left Chelsea.
The Italian has faced criticism in west London, but on the whole, he delivered a third place finish and a European trophy.
So who can follow that? Letâs have a look at the five who could/should replace the 50-a-day tactician.
Frank Lampard
Amazingly, after just one season in senior management, Frank Lampard is widely considered to be the favourite.
His stint at Derby has shown that the former midfielder has a real way with players â younger squad members in particular have flourished under his guidance.
But thatâs in the Championship, for one of the best-backed clubs in the division. This is Chelsea, with a potential transfer ban in place.
The jury is very much out.
José Mourinho
Could he really be coming back?
José Mourinho has already had two stints at Stamford Bridge and now reports in the British press have claimed that the Special One would be open to a third.
Thereâs no doubting it would be a way of getting the supporters back on side, but has Mourinhoâs Manchester United not tarnished his reputation for good?
Or maybe the Portuguese tactician will rediscover his mojo in SW6.
Massimiliano Allegri
Of all the top-level coaches currently available, one stands out, head and shoulders above the rest.
That man is Massimiliano Allegri who, right now, is unemployed after leaving Juventus following an unprecedented period of success.
The 51-year-old has a proven track record of winning trophies and would undoubtedly make the most of this exciting Blues squad.
Emma Hayes
At some point a female manager is going to take charge of a top-level menâs side and no one will bat an eyelid.
That day may not be right now, but Chelsea have, under their noses, one of the best in the business and would do well to make use of Emma Hayes.
The 42-year-old has been in charge of Chelsea Women since 2012, where sheâs led them to two Super League titles and two FA Cup wins as well.
She may be a wildcard, but sheâd be a brilliant choice.
Erik ten Hag
Their run to the Champions League final was the stuff of fiction.
Ajax, a once great European power, being taken back to their rightful place at the top table, playing the style of football that would make Johan Cruyff proud.
They may have a special generation of talent, but theyâve been given the freedom to play by Erik ten Hag.
Imagine how far he could take Chelsea.
