After losing their first four Premier League matches of the season, it was hard to imagine that West Ham would have been competing for a Europa League place during the last month of the season.

However, the Hammers turned it around and, in 11th place on 46 points with Southampton and Watford to play, the London side have secured a very healthy mid-table finish.

Coming off a 1-0 win over London rivals Tottenham, Felipe Anderson believes there’s much more to come in the next few seasons.

“I think it was a good year,” the winger told whufc.com. “Unfortunately, we couldn’t finish where we wanted in the table, but I believe the potential is there.

“I knew that it was going to be difficult for all the new players to adapt. There were many of them but now we can see that we had the quality to reach our goals.

“All in all I think that we are on the right track to grow because we know that we have the quality. Especially against big teams we always played really well, we even defeated some of them.”

The Brazilian has scored 10 goals and contributed five assists in 39 matches in all competitions in his first year with the club.
