The turmoil at Corinthians caused by Tianjin Teda’s interest in signing manager Fábio Carille for 2020 only lasted four days as the Corinthians boss has informed the board he will see out his entire contract.
After a pair of middlemen brought a letter of intent from the Chinese club to Brazil signalling interest in hiring the 45-year-old, the news leaked to the press.
On Thursday, the board held a closed-door meeting with Carille to discuss his immediate future.
Speaking to president Andrés Sanchez and director of football Duílio Monteiro Alves, Carille said he had not received any offers and assured that he intends to fulfil his contract.
Carille has a deal that will keep him at the club until December 2020.
