Corinthians looked very impressive as they rolled to a 3-1 first-leg advantage over fellow Brasileirão side Ceará in the third round of the Copa do Brasil.

Soon after the victory, manager Fábio Carille considered the tie done and dusted.

“Too big [the advantage],” Carille exclaimed. “First game? Very well done. But we have another 90 minutes in São Paulo to confirm our qualification to the next round.

“Now we return to the Campeonato Paulista [to face Oeste and Ituano] and then we must concentrate against Ceará to advance.”

In addition to being impressed with the victory, the coach praised the performance of striker Vágner Love, who scored in the win.

“Love is very active not just in the games, but also in the training.

“He is helping the group a lot and being like Jô in 2017.

“It’s being very important, and I know I can use him in various positions.”
