Fabinho has described Jürgen Klopp’s management style as ‘electrifying’.

The midfielder has enjoyed a run in the team and impressed after a slow start following his summer move from Monaco.

Fabinho explained Klopp is always demanding the best from his players and joked, having spent the start of his Reds career as a full-time substitute, that he has seen the German’s in-game management first-hand from the bench.

“He never lets up, doesn’t matter what time of the day it is, the quality and intensity of training, concentration too,” he told L’Equipe of Klopp.

“He wants us to always give everything, even in training, so that we reproduce that in matches… And since I have spent time on the bench, I have watched how he is during matches. He screams, shouts instructions, he is electrifying!”

A reported target for PSG just months after moving to Anfield, Fabinho cheekily suggested the timing of the media’s claims came at a peculiar time.

Stressing he had no intention of leaving Liverpool so soon into his time with the club, the 25-year-old said: “I never thought about going elsewhere. I know that a lot of things came out in the press, but not all of it was true.

“What is funny, is that this story about a loan to PSG came out just before our game in the Champions’ League (28th Nov 2018) – I had a similar story come out just before the Coupe de la Ligue final between PSG and Monaco (3-0 to PSG, 31st March 2018). A funny coincidence no?”

Fabinho played as a makeshift centre-back amid a defensive injury crisis as Liverpool beat Brighton 1-0 on Saturday and extended their lead at the top of the Premier League table to seven points.
