Tom Davies is set to sign a new four-year contract at Everton, report the Daily Mail.

The 20-year-old midfielder broke into the first team under Ronald Koeman almost two years ago but has struggled under Marco Silva this season.

Davies has started just 10 Premier League games this term, playing half as many minutes as he did last season.

However, he remains highly thought of on Merseyside and Silva has been keen to see the midfielder tied down.

“Tom is part of our squad,” the Portuguese said back in December, when Davies was linked with a loan move away from Goodison Park.

“He is an important player for me and an important player for us as a club. He is the present and the future of our club.”

Davies is still only 20 and could feature more next season, especially if Everton don’t finalise a permanent deal for on-loan midfielder Andre Gomes.
