Everton are currently winning the race to sign winger David Neres from Ajax in a move that won’t come cheap.
That’s according to a report from Brazilian outlet UOL Sport, who claim the Toffees are currently ahead of PSG in the battle to land the 22-year-old in a deal that could potentially cost in the £40m-range.
Neres is said to prefer a move to the Premier League and Everton is likely to be able to provide him much more assured playing time.
Contract talks will be familiar, as the Ajax star is represented by the same group that negotiated deals for Everton to land both Richarlison and Bernard last summer.
The former São Paulo was spectacular for the Champions League semi-finalists this season, contributing 12 goals and 15 assists in 50 matches in all competitions.
