West Ham remain in pursuit of Napoli winger Hirving ‘Chucky’ Lozano but it appears that Everton are currently ahead of them in the race to sign the 24-year-old.

That’s according to a report from Italian publication Il Mattino, who claim that the 39-time Mexico international will most likely reunite with former boss Carlo Ancelotti at Goodison Park this summer.

Lozano was a star last season at PSV, scoring 21 goals and providing 12 assists in 40 games in all competitions, earning himself a €38m move to Napoli last summer.

However, since the arrival of Gennaro Gattuso on 11 December, Lozano has failed to start a single match in Serie A play.

Gattuso has also admitted that Lozano is not in his future plans, so it’s widely believed that the 24-year-old will not remain with the Italian giants next season.

So far this season with Napoli, Lozano has three goals and two assists in 23 matches and has only featured for 50 Serie A minutes in all of 2020.
