Marco Silva might not have been impressed with Yerry Mina this season, but that might not discourage him from looking to Colombian internationals to shore up his defence next season.

According to a report from Calciomercato, central defender Cristián Zapata will be leaving AC Milan as soon as his contract expires in June.

According to the publication, Everton, Watford, Fenerbache, and Flamengo are also said to be interested in the 32-year-old’s services.

Zapata arrived in Milan in 2012 and became a mainstay in the Rossoneri defence. He also became a lynchpin with the Colombian national team in the 2014 World Cup.

The last few seasons, his form diminished due to his health. He missed a large portion of the season due to injury but was able to play more frequently in the tail-end of the season.

Since then, Mateo Musacchio and Alessio Romagnoli have stepped up and became the central defensive pairing of manager Gennaro Gattuso.
