Chelsea midfielder Ethan Ampadu is reportedly ‘open to leaving’ RB Leipzig this month after struggling on loan.

Ampadu joined the Bundesliga outfit in July, but has played just 49 minutes of football under Julian Nagelsmann.

According to Turkish outlet Fotospor, Trabzonspor have expressed an interest in the 19-year-old who is said to be ‘keen on joining’.

Assistant manager Eddie Newton – who used to coach at Chelsea – has already held productive talks with Chelsea.

Ampadu wants to play regular football with Euro 2020 approaching and will be promised a key role with the Süper Lig outfit.

The teenager has three-and-a-half years left on his current Blues deal.
