There is a new wonderkid taking European football by storm.
Remember the name of Erling Braut Håland of Red Bull Salzburg, who made night one of Champions League action his own.
The son of Alf-Inge Håland was sensational in the first half of his side’s destruction of Genk, hitting a hat-trick in devastating fashion.
In his first ever Champions League game, he equalled Wayne Rooney’s record of being the first teenager since the Englishman to score more than once on his Champions League debut.
Rooney hit a hat-trick for Manchester United against Fenerbahçe and Håland followed suit by doing the same in Salzburg.
He also became just the eighth player to score three times in his first ever Champions League game.
This was nothing new from the teenager either, who had already shown previously what he is capable of.
Too soon to say he’s already eclipsed his dad?
