We’ve compiled a list of eight under-the-radar teenagers who are ready to explode next season.

Ferran Torres (Valencia)

Comfortable on either flank or behind the striker, Ferran boasts a feathered first touch and ridiculously quick feet.

Expect him to earn more opportunities at Valencia next season.

William Saliba (Saint-Étienne)

Are we sure Saliba is 18? He plays with a maturity and composure found in defenders ten years his senior.

Him becoming a starter in March coincided with ASSE winning eight of their last nine (after winning two of previous 11).

Giorgi Chakvetadze (KRC Genk)

Nicknamed ‘the Georgian Kaka’, it’s frightening how many similarities Chakvetadze shares with the 2007 Ballon d’Or winner.

He glides with the ball despite his lanky frame – and is already too good for Belgian football.

Florentino Luís (Benfica)

Another talent breaking through from the Benfica conveyor belt. How do they do it?

His ball winning, tackling and interception numbers are off the charts.

Diego Lainez (Real Betis)

Endured a quiet few months after signing for Betis in January, but we’re backing him to explode.

Untouchable at times thanks to his dribbling skills and low centre of gravity.

Ozan Kabak (Stuttgart)

Another monstrous centre back that enjoyed a seamless transition to European football.

Heads everything in either penalty box, ending the season as Stuttgart’s fourth highest scorer.

Takefusa Kubo (FC Tokyo)

Hidetoshi Nakata, Keisuke Honda, Shinji Kagawa – could Kubo be the next great Japanese footballer?

We wouldn’t bet against him. Outrageous technical ability and top clubs are already circling.

Mohammed Ihattaren (PSV)

It’s not easy to be a winger at PSV with Steven Bergwijn and Hirving Lozano ahead of you.

But Ihattaren took his opportunities brilliantly and is already being earmarked for a first-team promotion.
