As Uruguay and Brazil met in a friendly, it was seemingly anything but as Neymar was floored after nutmegging his fellow forward.
The pair didn’t seem impressed by each other’s antics though Cavani insists it was nothing.
“When two South American teams meet, it’s always a bit intense,” he said. “I think it was a very good match, and in the end we protested a bit about the penalty.
“But these are things that happen, it’s always good to face big teams like Brazil and playing against great rivals like Neymar or the other players that make up this Brazil team.
“There are no friendly matches in football, sometimes there may be intensity, be the hot environment, but after the game, once the game is over, there is only peace and tranquility outside the field.”
If rumours are to believed, the two don’t exactly see eye-to-eye though PSG will hope to see the pair have made up before Saturday’s home match with Toulouse.
