Edinson Cavani is reportedly set for another spell on the sidelines after suffering an injury relapse.

The 32-year-old ruptured his hip tendon back in February and has played just two minutes of senior football since.

According to L’Equipe, Cavani suffered a recurrence of the problem in training and flew home to Uruguay for rehabilitation.

With Paris Saint-Germain unlikely to rush him back, El Matador is likely to return at the end of April for a potential Coupe de France final.

Cavani has just one year left on his current deal and persistent injury problems could pour doubt into the minds of the Parisian hierarchy.

Asked about his future in January, he told Le Parisien: “At the moment, I left to finish my contract and perhaps my career”.
