While the rest of his strike partners consider moves away, Edinson Cavani has insisted that he wants to stay at Paris Saint-Germain.
Both Neymar and Kylian Mbappé have been heavily linked with moves away from the French capital this summer, with switches to Spain in the offing.
Cavani himself has also been rumoured to be of interest to Atlético Madrid, should Antoine Griezmann shack up at the Parc des Princes this summer.
But the Uruguay international has claimed that he has no intention of leaving Les Parisiens for at least 12 months.
“I have one more year on my contract in Paris and my idea is to stay there,” Cavani told reporters at the Copa América.
“I’m looking forward to this year with PSG and then we’ll see what happens.”
The 32-year-old then reiterated those statements when talking with beIN Sports France.
“Before the end of the season, I spoke with the club and the idea is that I would like to be there this year,” he noted.
“I’m happy. Then, it is known that football has many twists and turns…”
