Dudu stole the headlines in Brazil as the 26-year-old took home the 2018 Prêmio Craque do Brasileirão, also known as the Brasileirão Best Player Award.

Dudu led Palmeiras to their second Brasileirão title in three years with seven goals and 14 assists in 31 league matches.

Though he is under contract with the club until 2022, the former Dynamo Kyiv man has been rumored to be leaving the club since the middle of the season, when he and the Palmeiras board rejected a proposal from an unnamed Chinese club.

Joining Dudu in the Brasileirão Team of the Year were team-mates Mayke (defender), Bruno Henrique (midfielder), and manager Luiz Felipe Scolari – who took over the club in late July and didn’t lose in the league in 23 matches.

Internacional also boasted three squad members in the XI: goalkeeper Marcelo Lomba, defender Victor Cuesta, and midfielder Rodrigo Dourado.

Flamengo’s Lucas Paquetá (midfielder) and Renê (defender), Santos’ Gabigol (striker), Cruzeiro’s Giorgian De Arrascaeta (midfielder), and Grêmio’s Pedro Geromel (defender) rounded out the team.
