Leeds defender Barry Douglas has hailed the ‘special and unique’ spirit at the club under coach Marcelo Bielsa.
The left-back, who enjoyed promotion from the Championship last season with Wolves, is flying high again with Leeds who have been top most of the campaign.
Despite slipping to third having not been in action this weekend, the Yorkshire club are massive favourites to go up and Douglas believes it is a special time to be a player at Elland Road.
Insisting he can’t compare this Leeds side to the Wolves team of last year, Douglas told the Yorkshire Evening Post: “It’s different teams and I’ve had this question 100 times but you can’t compare.
“What we’ve got this season is special and unique. The spirit we’ve got is something you rarely come by in your career.
“It’s a special time and hopefully we can create special memories.”
Leeds, who now have a game in hand on Norwich and Sheffield United above them, host second-bottom Bolton on Saturday.
