Juventus winger Douglas Costa can’t wait to play with Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Serie A season kicks off in just over a week and Ronaldo is expected to make his debut for the club during the opening weekend.
Juventus have won the Italian title seven seasons in a row but the club are looking to take a leap in Europe. They have reached two of the last four Champions League finals, only to come up short.
“I think Juve are already at a great level, but the club wanted to take the next step,” Costa told a press conference.
“Ronaldo has everything to take us to another level, and it can make this season very important one.”
Despite that, Costa feels Ronaldo could need some time to adapt to Serie A.
The Portuguese has already delivered in the Premier League and in LaLiga but Italy is another test.
“It is a completely different league from the others,” the Brazilian said. “It takes a little more time to settle in. I took six months to be at my best.”
