Oh Diego, how we’ve missed you.

It’s his first game back in LaLiga following his return to Atlético Madrid from Chelsea and we’ve already hit peak Diego Costa.

The Spanish international started for Atlético as they took Getafe on Saturday in their opening LaLiga game of 2018.

And after an eventful first half, which saw several scuffles between the sets of players, a goal for Atlético and a yellow card for Costa, things went into overdrive in the 68th minute.

First, Costa applied a fine finish to give Atlético a 2-0 lead.

He was understandably excited and rushed into the crowd behind the goal.

The only problem: That lands you an automatic yellow.

The referee was left with no choice but to give Costa his second yellow, which meant red and an early shower for the Brazil-born striker.

He is well and truly back.
